I am a former graduate school dean with more than 30 years experience in higher education. I have taught at Boston, Northeastern, Suffolk and Brandeis Universities. For nearly two decades, I was a dean at the College of Liberal Arts at Boston University as well as at Brandeis University, consulting with hundreds of undergraduate students applying to graduate and professional schools.
As the Associate Dean for Graduate Education at Brandeis University I spent an
additional decade managing and creating programs affecting the academic lives
of 800 M.A. and Ph.D. students each year. I oversaw admissions procedures and
academic policies governing students, and I worked closely with students applying
for Fulbright, DAAD and other fellowships. My career as an administrator was
founded on strong mentoring and consistent commitment to helping students achieve
their goals.
I am currently serving as a Writing Consultant to graduate students at Harvard University's Divinity School.
I have presented workshops on graduate school admissions and dissertation completion at Boston University, Framingham State College, Olin College, Tufts University and the College Art Association.
